PRETTY WATER SCHOOL
CORPORAL PUNISHMENT FORM
The Pretty Water School Board of Education has set into policy the authorization to use corporal punishment as a disciplinary action. If you do not agree with this policy, you may schedule a conference with the superintendent or elect to be exempt below.
Please understand that corporal punishment will only be used when alternative disciplinary actions have failed to produce response from the student. Alternative disciplinary actions may include being placed in study hall, loss of privileges such as recess, participation in sports activities, bus privileges, etc., or suspension from school. Corporal punishment may be administered to a student on their first offense if the offense is severe, such as fighting, putting other students in danger, destruction of property, etc.
We are striving to offer the best education and the safest environment possible for your child. Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping us to achieve that goal.
Sincerely, Jeff Taylor-Superintendent
